I believe that no matter how much we get lectured about something, it is more effective when we see it with our own eyes. In a bid to draw attention to the important issue of climate change, the World Wildlife Federation (WWF) came up with a very clever guerrilla campaign.
They made customized mugs with a special ceramic coating and the world's land mass printed on them. The land disappears when you fill the mug with hot liquids, showing the effects that climate change may soon have if action is not taken, and revealing the following message:
"A global climate increase of just two degrees Celsius will have irreversible, catastrophic effects. www.wwfchina.org."
WWF distributed 250 of these statement mugs to the attendees at the UN Climate Change Conference in Bali, Indonesia.
Reportedly, the Dutch Environmental Minister said it "dramatically captured the critical nature of the global warming issue."
