More and more celebrities are using YouTube as a promotional tool. 2007 saw several stars begin creating their own viral videos to further boost their star status. A favourite had to be Will Ferrell.

The comedian maximizes his ability to do and say exactly what he wants on YouTube, utilizing the profanity that wouldn’t quite be appropriate for TV, and giving him more freedom than he gets on edited Hollywood films.

Will’s landlord movies was rated as one of the top of the year. In the last 8 months, it’s had over 51 million views!
