Catherine Zeta-Jones will star as Cleopatra, one of the most elegant female heroines in history, but with a very modern twist: she’ll do it in 3-D.

Likely sporting a cropped black bob, Catherine Zeta-Jones will reprise the role Elizabeth Taylor made so famous. But this time things will be look a whole lot different.

Director Steven Soderbergh describes it as a “3-D live-action rock‘n’roll musical” set in the 1920s instead of ancient Egypt.

Catherine Zeta-Jones proved herself worthy of such a role after he tremendous performance in the celebrity criminal jazz musical, Chicago.
