Carolien Laro Designs a Simple, Naturalistic Seat

Dutch graduate designer Carolien Laro has designed an innovative bench called the ‘Spring Wood.’

What sets this apart from other benches is that the wood on the surface is actually flexible. Although it may look simple, the process was both complex and laborious with Carolien Laro investing 600 hours to complete her work.
