We’ve seen geometric fashion invade the catwalk this season, and the new boxy handbag is the perfect way to accessorize this look. The retail forerunner in this category is definitely Chloe’s Sally Shoulder Bag, which was shown at the label’s Spring 2009 show. Tory Burch and Kate Spade offer a similar look at a better price and, of course, Topshop should never be overlooked. Other versions of the boxy handbag include styles that reference men’s toiletry bags, small valises or vintage cosmetic cases, as seen on the runway at Oscar de la Renta for Spring 2009.
