BotaniCalls - Dial-A-Drink For Thirsty Plants

Are you a plant lover? Do you sometimes talk to your plants? Well now you can take that one step further with Botanicalls, an effort to open up the lines of communication between humans and their plants. Your plants can now call you to let you know when they need a drink of water, thanks to a special project that features special sensors in the base of each pot that sends notification when the soil is dry.
The Botanicalls Project is just genius. A small sensor in each plant pot is connected to a telephone switchboard, which in turn can call a number when the soil is dry.
Botanicalls allows thirsty plants to place phone calls for human help. When a plant on the botanicalls network needs a lot or a little water, it can call a human and ask for exactly what it needs. When humans phone the plants, the plants orient callers to their habits and characteristics, including how they like to be watered and cared for.
