Johan Lorbeer is a German street performer who has gained fame for hanging several feet in the air in seemingly impossible positions.

The YouTube video and gallery stills show Lorbeer doing a performance he calls the “Tarzan”.

In the video, Lorbeer casually hangs in mid-air several feet above the ground and leans his left arm stiffly against a building or wall as the other arm rests on his hip. Below him is a fairly large crowd The watching in amazement and taking pictures.

At first I was almost certain this was a publicity stunt, but it is not. It is a fairly simple trick, but Lorbeer does a great job of capturing people’s imaginations and curiosity.

I'm not a magician by any means, but logically the only way I see that it's possible is that there is some sort of metal "stand" if you will attached to the building that runs through his sleeve and down his pants for the leg closest to the building to stand on. Now I don't know how he'd get such a thing set up without someone noticing, but oh well that's my two bits.
