The Pigr Bird Bread Chopping Board Attracts Animals

Bird Bread is a wooden chopping board designed by Naama Steinbock and Idan Friedman of Reddish Studio from Tel Aviv, Israel, and produced by the Italian design company Pigr. The chopping board, which is 17 × 47 × 16 cm wide, has a red little bird house on it to invite your winged friends to join your meal.

The idea behind this project is endearing and practical; you can use the chopping board daily to cut bread during your meals, and afterwards put it on the sill outside your window, on your balcony or in the garden and invite birds to enjoy breadcrumbs. This not only ensures you get the closest view of one of nature's most beautiful creatures, but that you don't waste even the smallest crumb during mealtime.
