It almost looks like there was a fatal mishap during the manufacturing of the Barstool 02 by LUGI. Two wooden sticks have been impaled through the seat. Of course, upon closer inspection it becomes abundantly clear that they have been slipped through on purpose. Sharply angled, they poke through the seat to become a small and subtle backrest.
The Barstool 02 by LUGI is made out of solid ash wood. Although the design is overall very simple and slightly rustic, the addition of that detail takes it to a whole other creative level. Part of the Czech furniture maker's own collection, which is designed under the supervision of Matej Chabera, the stool would make a great home addition.
