“Pornovation” is the new term being used to describe the amalgamation of pornography and technology innovation. At the Arse Elektronika expo in San Francisco, sexual technologies took center stage.

“No one can predict what the future will bring, but history indicates that sex will continue to play an essential role in technological development,” it says on the Arse Elektronika site.

The event runs at Porn Palace from October 5-7 and covers industry innovations in lectures and through performances, including the Electric Orifice Orchestra where “extravagantly dressed performers use live biofeedback from muscular interior walls of their bodies to create a multimedia interactive show.”
