The Apple iPod was invented by Kane Kramer in 1979. Uh-huh! Apple even admits it. Apple even hired the inventor to testify for Apple in a patent lawsuit - not filed by Kramer. He made a prototype device that would almost play one entire song. Three and a half minutes. But he couldn’t raise the money to proceed and he let the patent expire. Apple got themself in a legal jam, and looked up Kramer to help them out. So far, all he has earned is money for testifying.  "I was up a ladder painting when I got the call from a lady with an American accent from Apple saying she was the head of legal affairs and that they wanted to acknowledge the work that I had done," Kramer told Daily Mail. "I must admit that at first I thought it was a wind-up by friends. But we spoke for some time, with me still up this ladder slightly bewildered by it all, and she said Apple would like me to come to California to talk to them.
