I kept seeing trends inspired by insects and bugs popping up so I decided to check out what was in the Trend Hunter vault. This cluster of insects includes many versions of mechanical bugs. Some are designed meticulously and with such detail they become works of art. Others equally artistic were put together with found objects. What’s remarkable is that the designer put them together without any additional glue or adhesives.
There are insect-infested dishes and ant salt and pepper shakers to go with them. There are also fashions inspired by insects, bug lights, insect furniture and plenty of robot insects.
But my favorite has to be the creepiest one of all - “Toddlerpedes”, a fabulous find by Ayman. The designer took parts of baby dolls and reassembled them into wild insect-like creatures.
