Every year around this time, even many those who abhor TV ads will forgo heading to the kitchen for a snack during a show break when a good ol’ Santa and Coke commercial airs because, like with Super Bowl ads, Christmas commercials by Coke are usually something we look forward to seeing. 

Even though Coke commercials typically contain high quality visuals done with the latest in computer technology created throughout the year, there is something special about their Christmas ads that make it almost impossible not to stay tuned.   

The 2008 Santa and Coke commercial by Mexico, not only contains awesome graphics but has the ability to tug on those ever-so-present Christmas heartstrings of those who are emotional, especially during this time of the year.

Although this 2008 Santa and Coke commercial was created by Mexico, and the words in the ad are in Spanish, the song was sung in English, which, in keeping with the Christmas Spirit, reaches across language and ethnic lines with a universal message of peace, hope, love, and good will. 

In fact, you don’t have to speak or read in either language to get the message—or a Coke.
