Farming just got a little greener thanks to Toyota. The company has announced a diesel hybrid vehicle that will be the connecting thread between electric and full power forklifts.
The Geneo-Hybrid from Toyota is said to have 50% better fuel use, and is great if you can’t operate with a fully electric machine.
The forklift also comes with a powerful punch, in that it can lift 3,500 kg. Power is supplemented by a small motor that generates battery power AND extra hydrolic power for big lifts.
Implications - Even heavy machinery is getting an eco make-over, proving the universal desire for companies to be more green.
