It was really hard to choose which hats to feature in this piece as I came across so many that are simply amazing. I am most excited that hats are in style for 2009, and even more so because I can actually wear one of these bad boys and get away with it.
The best of the bunch for me has to be the ultimate showgirl feather hat, featured in the main image. It is made by Rebekah Raa, and in my eyes, is just about perfect. I do have to say though that while it is visually striking, the ‘bucket hat’ from Boneyard Baby would make me feel a bit like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz.
All in all, these statement hats are simply brilliant and show that innovation is the way forward - for example, the necklaces being used as a hair piece exudes creativity!
