See Assistive Technology is the latest conceptual device designed to make shopping easier for the blind. The gadget consists of two parts, a wrist-worn bracelet and earbuds. The bracelet is used to scan the barcode and the earbuds relay the information to the wearer.

See Assistive Technology was designed by Dinard José da Mata Filho. The gadget is another in a surprisingly long line of concept items meant exclusively for the blind. Many blind individuals are amazingly independent, but there are a few things that even a mastery of five senses can't control. Devices such as this would make it so that a blind person could instantly tell the nutrition facts or color of a product without having to seek out a store associate or take a chance on an unknown item.
