Graphic designers will often fight losing battles in attempt to communicate the complexity of taste into edible product branding strategies. Regina Chocolate packaging was therefore approached from the opposite angle, by embodying a beautiful simplicity that says something else about what’s inside of it.
The purity of the ingredients, the coherence of the scrumptious recipes and the well-crafted quality of the confections are all attributes that the brand might wish to emphasize. Jonathan Faust took this identity project on as a personal one, yet his results are surely crisp enough to entice the Portuguese chocolatier.
In peppermint, orange and strawberry flavors, the sweets are indicated by soft color-coded block labels in their contents’ corresponding pigments of green, orange and red. A graceful cursive typeface was hand-traced and plainly introduces the desserts.
