A new artist bio on Matthew Shlian’s Paper Works has been released, and this very well-rounded artist does it all.
Matthew is a designer, an artist and a teacher at the University of Michigan. He works for Ghostly International, Apple and Procter & Gamble. Most importantly, however, Matthew folds paper in such an impressive way that it’s no wonder he has to spread himself thin with all his jobs.
As a paper engineer, Matthew works in areas such as print media, commercial design and book art, with occasional collaborative works with scientists in microscopic folding.
This short features shows some of Matthew’s work in a time lapse format, where you can see his love for geometry come out in his intricate paper works.
