Biomorphic Architecture

Jet House

This is a house made out of molded concrete that is attached to a metallic building pad. The Jet House, by Jérôme Olivet, is designed to look as if it is moving really fast, despite being anchored to the ground. This structure is a two-story house connected by an elevator. According to Olivet, the style of the house is "biomorphic" on account of its rounded and smooth exterior lines.

Implications - As the future unfolds, more and more consumers are looking for houses and designs that closely mimic the emerging aesthetic of tomorrow. Smooth and rounded houses like this exude a science fiction feel, but also have an attractively clean and benign appearance that rejects the crude cubism of traditional futuristic design aesthetic.
