Freaky-Faced Fairytellers

Maxim Compiles List of Frightening Children's Authors

With the recent release of the highly anticipated Spike Jones movie adaptation of children’s storybook “Where the Wild Things Are,” Maximonline has compiled a list of frightening children's authors whose profiles would have any child running for their mother.

The frightening children's authors include such famed writers as Lewis Carroll, Dr. Seuss, Hans Christian Anderson, and Shel Silverstein.

The author of “Where the Wild Things Are” was also included in this list and oddly enough, the recent re-printings of the storybook have left out his picture.
