Ethical Art’s mission is tri-fold. First, the social business supports artists from all around the globe by purchasing their original artwork. Second, the profits from the sales of the artwork is split halfway between the company and the artist. Third, each painting sold sponsors a Maasai child to go to school for a year. The school in which they work is Noonkodin Secondary School, located in Tanzania.
“Alternatively, you can purchase one painting (which covers one year’s education) and donate £450 directly to cover the rest of the child’s secondary education,” the fair trade art company writes on its website. “When you purchase a painting, you can learn about the child you are sponsoring and can receive letters and stay in touch with them as they progress through the school.”
The gallery here on SocialBusiness.org features works by Anna Martin and Taza Bol.
