Ed's Martian Book Sells Copies of Only Andrew Kessler's New Novel

Part advertising ploy, part art installation, Ed’s Martian Book sells copies of only one novel: 'Martian Summer: Robot Arms, Cowboy Spacemen, and My 90 Days With the Phoenix Mars Mission' by Andrew Kessler. There isn't even an Ed to be seen in the store. It's completely run by Kessler himself.

Considering that Kessler happens to be a creative director at an advertising agency, it should come as no surprise that he has concocted such an intriguing way to campaign his new novel. Yet, Ed’s Martian Book also celebrates the novel form as well, which has taken quite a hit in the last few years considering the rise of ebooks and the demise of such bookstores as Borders.

Ed’s Martian Book is located on Hudson Street in New York.
