'Cyber Navi' by Pioneer Combines Mario Kart Racing with Car Navigation

Mario Kart racing and GPS devices have come together in 'Cyber Navy' by Pioneer Corp. The navigational system will feature a HUD that displays a virtual reality rendition of what is in front of the car.

The HUD would be installed in the place of the sun visor and measures 90 x 30cm. Approximately 70% of cars are compatible with the new design which is set to hit markets in late July 2012.

Cyber Navy is the first navigational system to combine both GPS capabilities with augmented reality depictions. The placement of the device will allow drivers to simultaneously focus on the road while orienting themselves with the directions. The visuals of the display are reminiscent of driving video games which may serve as greater initiatives for unlicensed drivers to take the car for a spin.
