Micro-Crowdsourced Fundraising

This 'How to Build a School in 3 Hours' Video is Sure to Inspire

When philanthropreneur Taylor Conroy -- whose motto is "destroy normal" -- wanted to get his friends involved in charity, he wasn't going to go about it in any ordinary way. He conducted a series of experiments, merged them with his sales knowledge and applied his curiosity for the infinite potential of the Internet to create a platform to build a school in 3 hours.

His social fundraising platform, called Ten in Three, is designed to raise $10,000 in three hours by getting 33 people to donate $3.33 a day for three months. The funds would then go directly toward building a school with Free The Children.

The video above features Taylor's Tedx talk, which goes over the details of his experiments and explains how anyone can build a school in 3 hours with their friends.

What makes this platform so innovative is the combo of leveraging traditional motivators behind giving with new knowledge and technology. I hope you'll be inspired to give too after watching the featured video and will join me in building a school!
