Brand Rebellion Portraits

Logo Pinups by Deborah Sengl

Austrian artist Deborah Sengl composed these pinup portraits of women covered from head to toe in designer logos. Sengl's logo pinup pieces parody the cult of upmarket products and society's obsession with high-end name brands. In place of the pinup model's skin and face, logo prints are shown.

The pinups are displayed in very suggestive and sensual poses as they decry the obsession with iconic name brands such as Chanel, Puma, Burberry, Fendi, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Fendi, and other high-end labels.

Anti-consumerism Art
There is a growing trend in the art world of using provocative pieces, such as parody and satirical forms, to make statements against consumerism and the obsession with iconic name brands.
Sustainable Fashion
Art pieces that critique the fashion industry's overuse of branding and production techniques that contribute to waste can be tied with a move towards sustainable fashion and ethical consumption practices.
Body Positivity
By using female bodies to display the logo prints rather than having conventionally pretty or thin models, this artwork aligns with the movement towards body positivity and inclusivity in fashion advertising and marketing.
