It’s not often you hear that a professional skateboarder is also a furniture designer, but Anthony Pappalardo is just that. He will be showing his first solo exhibition of furnishings and artwork, called ‘Virgin White,’ at the Brooklyn shop and gallery The Future Perfect.
The work of Anthony Pappalardo encompasses handmade stools and tables crafted from both common and unique woods. He uses a laborious but interesting process of piecing the furnishings together with small blocks, creating patterns in the grains of lumber to result in unique parquet finishes, checkerboard patterns and geometric designs.
