The Abandoned Nuclear Missile Sile House is an Unlikely Home

Have you ever just wanted to do something crazy like picking up and moving on a moments notice? Or perhaps buy an abandoned nuclear missile silo and transform it into a functioning home? That’s what Bruce Townsley did with his abandoned nuclear missile silo house.

This out of control contraption is exactly what it sounds like. Townsley took what “started as a 2,200 square foot fixer-upper with 6,000-pound blast doors and a ‘185-foot hole in the ground where a missile armed with a nuclear warhead used to be,’” and turned it into a place to live according to Gizmodo.com. Townsley has thus transformed a functioning abandoned nuclear missile silo house.
