The 2012 SAG Awards Red Carpet Saw a Sea of Brights

One of the biggest trends on the 2012 SAG Awards red carpet was show-stealing colorful dresses in blue, purple and green. While many attendees of the SAG Awards chose conservative black or white frocks, there were enough bright bets dispersed along the red carpet as well.

The SAG Awards are seen as a break between the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards, when actors are honoring each other and the fashion stakes are lower, which usually leads to a few more bold choices than usual. One of the biggest risks taken on this year’s red carpet was Kaley Cuoco’s Romona Keveza princess-worthy aquamarine dress paired with a playful braided up-do. The 2012 SAG Awards red carpet also saw Jessica Chastain, Diane Lane and Jane Lynch dazzle in blue, while Sofia Vergara, Diana Agron and Julie Bowen turned up the glamor in fuchsia.
