My hat goes off to the DIY genius behind the 1958 Johnson Outboard drink blender. Etsy merchant Wind Chimes and More of Port St. Lucie, Florida, has turned a Johnson outboard boat motor into the ultimate margarita mixer.
The 1958 Johnson Outboard drink blender may have a vintage exterior, but the inside has been completely overhauled. Gone is the old motor that used to power something a little more powerful than a blender. In its place is a Homelite 2-cycle motor. The engine may have been swapped, but the original choke lever, kill button and tiller handle are all intact and fully functional. The blender truly is a one-of-a-kind and has a price tag to match. If you want to get your hands on this blender it is going to set you back a cool $2,800. Oh, and it is available for local pick-up only. Road trip.
