Shattering Gaming Art

The Dan Saelinger Xbox 360 Explosion is a Gamer's Nightmare

After paying so much for this wicked gaming console I don't know why anyone would want to smash it into itty-bitty pieces, but photographer Dan Saelinger did the unthinkable and created the Xbox 360 Explosion -- in the name of art.

The art piece was for a spread with Fortune Magazine that tells a story about the console gaming’s demise. Approximately ten Xbox 360s and eight controllers were blown up to get the right image. The Xbox 360 is a shattering piece of art that breaks my heart but is beautiful at the same time.
