Eurocopter -- a part of European aerospace group EADS -- has showed a high speed aircraft called 'The X3 Hybrid Helicraft' to counter Sikorsky’s attempt to set a high speed advanced aviation system.
The helicraft is half-plane and half-helicopter in design and equipped with two turboshaft engines and two propellers giving the capabilities of both a plane and a helicopter. The X3 Hybrid Helicraft will be officially unveiled by Eurocopter on October 1, 2010.
