Macabre Celebrity Auctions

Elvis' Autopsy Tools Are on the Bidding Block

The autopsy tools used during the autopsy, embalming and preparation of the late Elvis Presley's body are going up for auction next month. In addition to these instruments, there will be gloves, the coffin invoice and a toe tag which reads "John Doe" to replace the original stolen toe tag.

The autopsy tools were saved by the mortician who performed the procedure and will be auctioned in two lots with expected selling prices between $4,000 and $8,000.

Implications - This auction takes fandom to the next level, as all of the materials used in Elvis's autopsy and funeral preparations hit the sale block. These include needle injectors, an arterial tube, rubber gloves and more, all of which were supposedly only used once for the king of rock himself.
