AVX Aircraft is Reveals Sketches of a Proposed Flying Car

AVX Aircraft has released some sketches of a dual-rotor, ducted-fan driven aircraft that also runs on roads. According to AVX Aircraft, the proposed future flying car can fly under DARPA’s Transformer (TX) program.

The aircraft amazingly takes off and lands vertically. The aircraft is also capable of carrying a 1,040-lb. payload and can travel 250 miles on single fuel. The specially designed foldable rotor blades enable the aircraft to be driven on the road, making for one of the coolest military gadgets out there.

Military Aircars
Dual-functionality vehicles that can both fly and drive on roads, most likely for military uses.
Compact Aerial Vehicles
Renewed interest in efficient and climate-friendly air and land vehicles that can provide transportation for people and goods.
Vertical Takeoff Aircraft
Increasing demand for aircraft that take off vertically, ideal for emergency services and military operations.

Who This Affects Most

Defense and Military
The creation of flying cars for military use, that can serve different purposes and provide more efficient mobility in different terrains.
Aerospace
The ongoing development of multi-functional aerial vehicles encourages research and development of new propulsion systems and technology.
Transportation
A new segment of the transportation industry that intersects air and land travel may emerge as research funding increases and new designs and prototypes are created.
