Surreal Tropical Paintings

Abbey McCulloch's 'Cabin Fever' is Inspired by Retro Flight Attendants

I'm absolutely in love with Abbey McCulloch's work. Creating paintings unlike any I've seen before, she captivated me before I even began browsing through her latest collection, 'Cabin Fever.'

Inspired by '60s and '70s flight attendants, Abbey McCulloch has captured an exotic rendering that reveals an underlying sexuality that is somewhat unsettling to witness. You can view her beautiful and vulnerable subjects in person at Helen Gory Gallerie in Prahran, Melbourne. Otherwise, I've selected a few works for the above gallery.
