YouTube Stars as Film Stars

'Fred: The Movie' is Coming to a Television Near You

If you’re as excited as I am about Fred: The Movie say ‘yeah’! Nobody huh? I guess I can’t blame you. Lucas Cruikshank, aka ‘Fred', is easily the most popular YouTube star. His homemade videos (complete with chipmunk voice), have garnered him millions of fans and hundreds of millions of views the world over. Now Nickelodeon is attempting to cash in on the ‘Fred’ mania by green-lighting 'Fred: The Movie.'

'Fred: The Movie' will be a made-for-TV movie starring, you guessed it, Fred. Details are scarce, but we do know the movie includes John Cena! This movie deal is a huge step for YouTube stars. Hopefully more viral celebs find a way to cash in off of their Internet fame.
