Artistically Beautiful Science

Winning Photos Showing the Inner Workings of Cells

GE Healthcare has announced winners in the 2010 IN Cell Analyzer Image Competition, an annual contest to celebrate the artistic beauty of cells and the ability of technology to see it. IN Cell Analyzer users submitted their beautiful cellular images to the contest to win a trip for two to New York City. Winning images will be displayed on the high-definition screen in Times Square between March 6 and 8, 2010.

IN Cell Analyzer uses sophisticated image-based cellular assays for complex scientific analysis. The contest is designed to highlight the ability of technology to image and analyze biological systems at the cellular level and to demonstrate that science can be artistically beautiful as well.
