Back in October we joked the Burberry Snood was the new scarf, but now it seems the tube scarf has actually become a winter 2010 must-have. As the gallery above shows, it's even been adopted by hipsters, so you know it's going to dominate.
Essentially, a tube scarf (or snood as some call it) is like a scarf, but with no end, so it's like a long piece of fabric you loop around your neck, usually loosely. You could liken it to a massive turtleneck, minus the sweater portion. Besides being a staple piece of the moment, the tube scarf also won't drag on the floor, get trapped in car doors or blow away in the wind!
