FedEx has introduced the Sensaware, a connected sensor that gives you real time accelerometer data to detect (within a few feet) the exact location of your package. This connected sensor can also tell you the temperature of your package and detects drops or jostling and if it has been exposed to light.

Sensaware eliminates the need for you to call those 1-800 help numbers and inevitably be on hold for an eon. The connected sensor also allows FedEx a reprieve from angry or concerned customer phone calls. The Sensaware connected sensor costs $120 a month and its data can be accessed via the Internet.

Now, if only we could have a connected sensor like Sensaware for our luggage!
