The Chifruda Armchair by 82-year-old designer Sergio Rodrigues was originally designed in 1962. To celebrate Rodrigues' birthday New York gallery Espasso has produced a limited quantity (40) of these unique chairs.
The original Chifruda Armchair was made from jacaranda wood and appeared only as a prototype, meaning this limited edition run of the Chifruda Armchair will be the only chairs of this kind ever produced. The imposing chair is made in Brazil and is created from leather and imbuia or freijo wood. The flamboyant headrest sweeps across a 41 inch expanse
