Kyma, a German flooring manufacturer, created this carpet made of the elastic polyester-mesh material that you usually find on sneakers. The material is wrapped around a polyurethane-cellular core, making the Sports 1 by Kymo an airy rug that is comfortable to lay on.

Sonja Schaub and Kensaku Oshiro designed The Sports 1 for Kymo. The polyester-mesh material has a hexagonally perforated pattern which makes for a durable and sturdy product. A trip to the gym may no longer be necessary with this sneaker-inspired carpet that can be both futuristic flooring and glorified modern gym mat.
