The SmartCap is essentially a hi-tech hat that makes sure tired drivers stop falling asleep at the wheel. Because it is capable of analyzing brainwaves, the hat—which, surprisingly, looks like any ordinary baseball cap—can alert the driver when it senses he or she is about to doze off. It does so by sending alert messages to the computer in the driver’s cab and telling them to take a break. Now this is an innovation that could potentially save a life!
