Non-Cohesive Collections

Erdem's Sping 2010 Collection Plunges into Surrealism

What do you get when you mix together rainbow colored floral patterns, lace, structure, draping, frills, ruffles and poufed sleeves? The collection shown for Erdem's Spring 2010 runway show.

For Erdem's Spring 2010 line, the designer admitted to working towards a non-cohesive collection of surrealism and endeavor that he was unarguably successful at with 3-D flower cut-outs, bug-eyed glasses, wildly colorful floral prints and scatterings of lace.

Implications - Variation within fashion collections is a refreshing take that many designers are taking, as well as businesses. Following a typical cookie-cutter format has grown tiresome in the eyes of both consumers and industry leaders. Businesses that can incorporate some deviation from their norm will be rewarded for making refreshing changes.
