Haute Diesel Hybrids

Volkswagon L1 Should Be the World's Most Fuel Efficient Car in 2013

Upon revealing the new Volkswagon L1 concept at the Frankfurt Motor show, the major German automaker officially leaped ahead of the pack as far as fuel-efficient hybrids are concerned.

The Volkswagon L1 weighs an astonishing 380 kilograms and for every 100km (62 miles), the car uses only 1.38 litres (.4 gallons) of diesel fuel (No, I’m not kidding). The Volkswagon L1 is a rather tiny car built for two people but that fact can be easily overlooked since this revolutionary vehicle is a major step in the right direction for fuel efficiency and environmental conservation.

All we can do is hope that this dream comes true sometime in 2013.
