Created for the Secret Garden Party festival in East Anglia, UK is this canopy constructed with 2452 newspaper hats called PaperVillain.

Constructed by The Functionality, 17 people assembled the PaperVillain paper canopy using wire to form a tensile structure. The PaperVillain paper canopy at the Secret Garden Festival took three weeks to complete.

PaperVillain was created as a response to the disposable life cycle of daily news media.
