Christian Forg's 'Speedway' Will Travel On Magnetic Highways

If Christian Förg's 'Speedway' concept evolves into production, we might be looking at a transportation future that doesn't involve driving.

Christian Förg's 'Speedway' relies upon highways and roads embedded with linear motors. Electric cars could then be propelled along these roads using a drifting magnetic field. While this poses a threat to individuals who truly enjoy driving, it also makes our roads slightly safer in that drunk and distracted drivers will never have to take control of the wheel.

Check out photos and video of Christian Förg's 'Speedway' design above.
