Mobile Restaurant Rows

Twittering Food Vendors Converge to Give LA Tasty Eats

Last month, a group of Twittering food vendors gave LA its first mobile restaurant row. The street food bazaar included cupcakes vended from a Sprinter van, a classic taco truck, organic fast food, a modern hot dog cart, gourmet ice cream sandwiches, and other culinary delights.

Dubbed Square Meal on Wheels, the temporary food court was part of the larger, Dwell on Design LA 09 'An Architectural night at the movies!' event.

Implications - The relationship between food and design is undeniable, as restaurant ambiance and decor play a pivotal role in the dining experience and the success of an eatery. the Square Meal section, created in 2008 by Dwell, was incepted for the exploration of this relationship and has become an important indicator of restaurants that give the greatest experience both in terms of food quality and design.
