Solar-Powered Grad Hats

Roland Saekow's Sun Cap Made for a Green Graduation

While others prepped their gowns and studied that ever daunting walk toward that final diploma, Roland Saekow was tinkering with his graduation cap.

It wasn’t because it was too tight, but that it wasn’t environmentally friendly enough. So he simply made his hat solar powered.

The hat is equipped with a mini-solar power plant, a wind turbine (plastic fan) and a tiny little sun that raises above the house when Saekow sends a command from his phone.

It seems Saekow’s future is beginning with a look into ours.
