Delicious recipes based on what you already have in the kitchen--I love it. Cooking by Numbers provides the opportunity for a broke college student like me to experiment in her mother’s kitchen without having to buy crazy ingredients. It even asks if you have basic stuff like oil or herbs.

I love to eat but I’m not the best cook. I really do need step-by-step instructions, and am not one to personally experiment and waste ingredients. I just plugged in what I had in my kitchen and got over 13 pages of results, ranging from a fried egg to “Plaice with Crème Fraiche and Spinach.” You have the opportunity to check ratings and rate recipes yourself as well.
