While some people may think that architect, Terunobu Fujimori has lost his mind, others may think that he is an absolutely genius.
Terunobu Fujimori’s tea house is named Takasugi-an, quite literally meaning “a teahouse too high”. It is one of Fujimori’s projects and stands in Chino, Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
Built on top of two chestnut trees, it is only accessible by the ladders that rest ever-so-slightly against the trees.
Designed for his own use, I think it is safe to say that Terunobu Fujimori believes in his work.
