With parking at an all time premium, it only stands to reason that a luxury condo developer would design and build a structure with a car elevator. 16 limited edition homes at 200 Eleventh, on the West Side of Manhattan, are nearing completion. Homes range from about 1,300 sq. ft. to 3,500 sq. ft, but the jaw-dropping feature is the “En-Suite Sky Garage.”
“This elevator system, the first of its kind in Gotham City, will recognize each resident’s car as it approaches the building’s entrance and then lift it, driver and all, to a private, 300 square foot parking spot in in the sky adjacent to the resident’s apartment,” Arch Record explains.
